My Experience
The Gold Coast located on the east coast of Australia, is a popular destination for travellers from all around the globe. This city holds a special place in my heart as it was my first ever trip abroad. The unforgettable experience from that journey has left amazing memories, making it impossible for me to forget it. Every year, millions of visitors are drawn to its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife and variety of different theme parks. It’s one of those remarkable destinations that I simply have to recommend to all adventurous people out there.
Must-See Places
Surfers Paradise with paragliding
Stretching for around 70km, the Gold Coast beaches are a stunning combination of sand, sun and surf. If there’s a single reason to include the Gold Coast in your travel bucket list, it’s undeniably to experience the sheer beauty of these beaches. If you’re passionate about surfing, then this is the ultimate destination for you. With three legendary beaches at your disposal – Snappers Rock, Kirra Beach and Burleigh Heads; you’ll have endless opportunities to ride the waves and soak up the sunshine. If you’re not a fan of waves and surfing, why not spice up your holiday with an exhilarating parasailing adventure? This thrilling experience will surely get your adrenaline pumping and is bound to leave you with epic memories to share with your loved ones when you return home. You’ll be taken on a journey soaring 350 feet above the water, where you’ll be treated to breath-taking 360 views of the Gold Coast and its beautiful surroundings. Theme Parks
When visiting the Gold Coast, no matter what age you are; it’s absolutely essential to dedicate a few days to exploring the famous theme parks. As a young girl, this experience was undoubtedly one of the most memorable aspects of my trip here. I vividly recall the diverse range of theme parks to explore and it truly added an extra sparkle to my adventures. Movie World was an absolute thrill, with its abundance of movie stars and superheroes that make you feel like you are in the heart of Hollywood. The park offered a plethora of different rides and attractions to keep you entertained all day long under the hot sunshine. Useful tip is bring lots of water and sunscreen! If you are in search of multi-day escapades, I highly recommend purchasing a 3 day pass access for the theme parks. The different parks offer a wide range of water rides, fascinating animals and captivating attractions to keep you busy for multiple days. Finally, we must not overlook the renowned White Water World which is another highly praised theme park. Although I have not had the opportunity to visit this amusement park, if you’re a fan of thrilling waterslides and exciting water adventures, I highly recommend adding this park to your itinerary. Also it is conveniently located right next door to Dream World, making it a perfect addition to your theme park adventures.

This blog would be incomplete without acknowledging the Gold Coast’s most renowned aspect – its dynamic and thrilling nightlife. Whether you prefer the energetic atmosphere of Surfers Paradise or the relaxed vibes of Burleigh Heads, there is an after-dark experience to suit every taste. Surfers Paradise known for its iconic status offers a blend of live music, DJ sets and themed nights to cater to everyone’s needs. Cocktails Nightclub stands out as one of the largest and most enduring nightclubs along the coast. It is known for offering an unforgettable evening filled with delicious drinks and incredible music. Among the numerous options I could suggest, this is undoubtedly a venue that deserves a prominent spot on your list. If you have a special event planned for your trip – don’t forget to book in advance. For those seeking a bit more of a beachside vibe, make your way to Burleigh Heads, where a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere awaits you. This coastal area boasts top notch beach bars with ocean views and a laid back atmosphere. Indulge in a refreshing beer or cocktail as you witness the sunset and later dancing the night away.

Food is an essential part of any recommendation and my final suggestion for this amazing city is to indulge in some delicious cuisine with a breath-taking view. For a serene panoramic experience of the Gold Coast, head to the Sky Point observation deck for 360-degree views. The Bistro+Bar has a good selection of traditional Australian dishes that perfectly satisfied my cravings. If you’re seeking a romantic night indulging in cocktails, this place should be booked without a doubt. You also have the option to purchase tickets solely for the observation deck.
